Are you ready to take your career in Biomedical Science to the next level? We're offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Biomedical Scientist to join our committed Immunology team. You’ll collaborate closely with our Immunology Laboratory Manager, Biomedical Scientists and Consultant Immunologists to deliver a high-quality, safe and efficient Immunology service that prioritises patient care and customer satisfaction.

About the Role

As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to deepen your specialist knowledge and skills within an IBMS registered training facility dedicated to education, training, and clinical excellence. We’re looking for a proactive and driven individual who is passionate about making a difference in Immunology.

Please note that interviews will be conducted on-site due to the practical nature of the assessments. Unfortunately, remote interviews cannot be accommodated.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Immunology laboratory.
  • Assist in the development of staff within a progressive department where participation in developing our service is actively encouraged.
  • The successful candidate may need to participate in the 24/7 rota for the Clinical Biochemistry Laboratory. Full training programme would be completed if required.

Requirements

  • HCPC registered with an appropriate MSc, IBMS HSD and/or be FIBMS (or equivalent).
  • Well-versed in the workings of a routine Immunology laboratory.
  • Enthusiastic and highly motivated.
  • Computer literate.
  • Familiar with working to UKAS standards.
