You will be joining the team at an exciting time as we look to shape the future of the Dairylea brand. Developing a holistic strategy that looks to turnaround a period of continued share decline and address increased competitor activity. This will require a delicate balance of perform and transform, short-term and long-term. The role has full innovation pipeline ownership as a local jewel brand, full P&L responsibility for the 2nd biggest brand in Mdlz UK at £179M RSV and the opportunity to demonstrate strategic thought leadership.
The Role:
In short, this is an amazing opportunity to lead, shape and grow a fantastic but complex business, building to growth in 2030 and beyond. As SBM your role will be end to end brand ownership to deliver our new brand strategy with execution across innovation, communication and commercial performance. You will be fully accountable to address current customer & consumer challenges to turn around share performance. As part of leading & implementing our new brand strategy you will need to build a business case that outlines the implications for our existing equity & comms, building a plan with agency partners VCCP & Publicis to execute once investment secured.
Organisation/ People Management:
You will also be required to lead, engage & develop your direct team – to drive marketing excellence and business performance.
Team size: 2 Direct reports (BM and Graduate/Apprentice).
Reporting into: a Marketing Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Refine and lead the implementation of the brand growth strategy, developing a clear and compelling narrative that aims to unlock future investment and ultimately aims to recover brand performance.
- Develop and begin the implementation of portfolio/product transformation that aims to simplify and futureproof the brand.
- Manage a complex business to ensure its continued success including developing future innovation & PPA plans with your team that will ensure category growth delivered to recover share.
- Lead the cross-agency team to build on our existing comms assets whilst shaping future comms plans to support repositioning the Dairylea brand in line with future strategy.
- Effectively manage the team to deliver the short-term whilst balancing the development and implementation of future strategy.

Requirements:
- Someone who is willing to contribute to our Team feeling of belonging.
- The Meals category is a smaller team within Mdlz but has a close-knit relationship with cross functional peers. A family feel with lots of opportunity to learn from other functions.
- Proven agility and growth mindset; this role requires you to challenge the status quo and lean into problem solving. Success will not come from doing things they way they’ve always been done. Bold, brave thinking is essential.
- Proven track record of inspiring others and delivering through others (incl direct reports); success is reliant on cross-functional collaboration, building resilience and keeping teams motivated and energised.
- Ability to manage & influence senior stakeholders – with no Marketing Manager role in meals, the opportunity is to lead the narrative, pitching directly to senior leaders with the support and guidance of the Marketing Director.
- Proven commercial acumen in complex environments; high level of innovation experience and portfolio management.
- Excellent communication, storytelling and presentation skills; building a compelling narrative and adapting this depending on the audience will be critical to unlock senior support and investment.
- Proven experience in building strategy; ideally with a balance of short-term / long-term.
- E2E Management.
- Equity experience is a bonus.
