Description

Join us in building and marketing the future of Alexa enabled devices in Europe. Amazon Devices is changing the way people engage with on-the-go devices. Our mission is to build great devices that seamlessly blend entertainment, productivity and AI powered assistance with Alexa.

To help with our mission, we are looking for an experienced and driven Marketing Manager to lead our brand and service marketing efforts across European regions.

In this role you will be reporting to the Head of Tablets EU, and own the brand marketing charter for Amazon Devices Tablets across 5 EU geographies. You will be leveraging your strong marketing business acumen and influencing skills to help shape the brand strategy of a new category and work with internal teams and external partners on marketing execution to help grow our brand. You will be equally comfortable thinking strategically, working as an individual contributor, and generating and executing creative marketing ideas that drive growth, customer consideration, and preference for our service.

You will leverage consumer insights and operational understanding to deliver marketing campaigns, promotions, and initiatives that delight and drive brand salience in your territory. Your clarity of vision and communication, in both writing and speaking, will help us deliver on our ambitious growth goals.

Please note this role is a 12-month full-time contract.

Key job responsibilities

  • Design and lead marketing initiatives and campaigns that deliver on brand goals, new customer acquisition, engagement objectives, and service awareness, deploying these initiatives with a time-bound cadence.
  • Leverage a mix of insights and innovation to create compelling service narratives grounded in deep customer understanding (attitudes and behaviors). Translate internal and external research into insights that power service marketing and advertising strategies.
  • Support creative development and delivery of marketing assets across Amazon-owned platforms as well as above-the-line paid media and social channels. Collaborate with external partners (creative agencies, production partners) to create and deploy marketing campaigns.
  • Own the brand governance charter for Amazon Tablets EU, ensuring brand guidelines are consistently followed across all marketing touchpoints.
  • Lead stakeholder management efforts, including document reviews and periodic updates to internal and external audiences.
  • Partner with counterparts across Amazon teams and locales to share best practices on initiatives and execution.
  • Support local and regional marketing leadership and work closely with cross-functional marketing teams to build a strong, locally relevant Amazon Devices Tablets brand presence in EU geos.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion
  • Experience using customer research, hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, generate forecasts, and assess the efficacy of marketing programs
  • Several years experience delivering brand marketing growth strategies
  • Fluency (C2) in written and spoken English and C2 fluency in at least one other European language, such as Spanish, Italian, French, or German

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience creating brand marketing content
  • Experience in brand identity and voice development
  • Experience in online marketing channels such as social media marketing, display advertising, and search engine marketing
  • Experience in media and brand planning
  • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities across teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
