Senior Broker – North American Casualty
Senior Broker – North American Casualty (London)
We are seeking an experienced and commercially-focused Senior Broker to join our North American Casualty team in London. This role will drive the placement of complex liability programs, support portfolio growth, and contribute to client strategy across a diverse range of industries. The successful candidate will bring strong market connectivity, technical expertise, and a proactive, client-first approach.
The Role
Placement Management
- Negotiate and place complex liability insurance programmes on behalf of clients
- Work with US colleagues to prepare high-quality underwriting submissions for distribution to London insurers
- Demonstrate expertise in London Market Reform Contracts (quotes, binders, and policy reviews)
- Lead renewal strategy discussions, market engagement, and negotiations, providing clear recommendations to clients
- Develop and execute placement strategies across:
- Open market
- Facilities market
- Alternative risk transfer (ART) options
- Maintain transparency in agency commitments made to carriers and clients
- Ensure FCA-compliant processing of contracts and contract certainty adherence

Portfolio & Business Development
- Drive growth of the casualty portfolio through new business opportunities and expansion of existing client relationships
- Contribute to pipeline development, retention strategy, and cross-selling initiatives
- Support strategic tenders and placements of large and complex risks in London and international markets
- Maintain awareness of market conditions, pricing trends, and carrier appetite
Market Engagement & Product Development
- Build and sustain strong relationships with key London market underwriters and carriers -Identify emerging liability exposures and contribute to innovative placement solutions
- Collaborate with internal specialists and carriers to structure bespoke coverage solutions

Client Service & Operations
- Understand clients’ business and risk management objectives, delivering tailored solutions
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
- Ensure ongoing alignment of cover with evolving client needs
- Liaise across specialty lines for coordinated client solutions
- Apply and adhere to business unit policies and regulatory requirements
- Communicate effectively with clients, markets, and internal teams to maximise service delivery
- Maintain accurate use of internal systems and ensure operational metrics are met
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on complex placement matters where required
