Senior Broker - Terrorism

Aon is currently recruiting a Senior Broker to join the Counter Terrorism Team, forming part of the wider Crisis Management Practice within our Global Brokking Centre.

About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and contribution to the marketing and negotiation of Counter Terrorism business within the Lloyd’s and Company Markets.
What The Day Will Look Like
- Client management and broking support for a worldwide portfolio of clients, produced wholesale and retail, including both renewals and new business from initial enquiry through to the handover to the processing/documentation team
- Provide full reviews of proposed risks, preparation of underwriting presentations, and review of insurance productions by our documentation team
- Facilitate market placements, including via electronic trading
- Contribute to the portfolio’s growth
- Support and lead tenders
- Proactively manage market relationships, supporting the broking strategy

You will also need to work in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, complying with our policies and managing risks (including completing required training) to protect the business, interests, and reputation of any Group Company.
How This Opportunity Is Different
The International Terrorism team consists of 10 Brokers with specialist expertise and varying experience proficiencies. The team serves clients globally from territories including Latin America, South America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and the Far East.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced working environment, offering access to Lloyd’s Market, London’s broader insurer network, and other Aon facilities that will enable us to deliver Political Violence, Terrorism Insurance, and Reinsurance needs across our client base.
Skills and Experience That Will Lead to Success
We’re looking for an experienced professional with:
- Proven international terrorism insurance/reinsurance expertise
- Strong technical knowledge
- Key carrier underwriter relationships already established
- Demonstrated experience in client relationship management
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
- Clear understanding of compliance and FCA regulation
