We are working with a well-established architecture and building consultancy practice known for delivering people-focused design and technical solutions. They are looking to appoint a Senior Building Surveyor to join their team and support the delivery of a range of projects across the built environment.
Working under the direction of the Project Lead, you will manage project activity and support the wider project team to ensure delivery aligns with client objectives, programme requirements and professional standards.
Salary range - £65 - £80k Permanent
Key Responsibilities Ensure Environmental, Health & Safety and BIM management policies and procedures are always adhered to. Take responsibility for managing the data security of assigned project(s). Act as a point of contact for the client and their design team throughout the project lifecycle. Develop assigned tasks into working proposals and, where required, produce design options for internal review. Progress proposals into a design or package of work in line with the RIBA Plan of Work. Receive and review the client brief, ensuring sufficient information is available to progress design development. Develop designs that incorporate the client’s objectives and any improvement opportunities identified through engagement or review. Prepare compliant designs in accordance with UK Construction Law, British Standards and relevant Codes of Practice. Support the coordination and delivery of production information in line with the project programme under the supervision of the Project Lead.

Skills and Experience Degree in Building Surveying (or similar) and MRICS membership. Understanding of roles, responsibilities and working relationships with clients, consultants and suppliers. Experience using Newforma Project Centre for managing email, issuing documents and maintaining project records. Intermediate knowledge of Revit and model authoring. Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate clearly in written, verbal and drawn formats. Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and contribute to project delivery. Self-motivated, organised and able to manage time, priorities and workload while maintaining attention to detail.
