Senior Building Surveyor
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £50,000-£65,000 depending on experience + Car allowance
We're thrilled to offer an opportunity for an experienced Senior Building Surveyor with a passion for leadership and innovation to join our expanding Birmingham based team. This individual will support the Senior Leadership team, foster new opportunities and ways of working, and help to develop a growing, ambitious team based in Birmingham. They will spearhead simple and complex projects across a range of sectors, whilst also playing to their strengths, including Residential, Education, Leisure, Health, and Blue light.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- RICS Accredited Building Surveying degree (BSc or MSc)
- MRICS or MCIOB (Chartered status or sitting Autumn 2026)
- Minimum 5 Years Previous Consultancy Experience
- Leading multi-disciplinary project teams
- Line management
- Fee management
- Mentoring team members

The Ideal Candidate:
- Project Leadership: Proven experience in successfully managing interdisciplinary projects and project teams
- Leadership Skills: Proven experience in successfully managing interdisciplinary projects and project teams, Delegation and Workload management, problem solving and Strategic thinking.
- Sector Savvy: Background in residential and or education sectors. Excellent Commercial Awareness and Business Development experience. A background in residential and or education sectors is desirable but not essential.
- Experience: Demonstrated expertise in core building surveying, design, tendering and project management services
- Track Record: A successful history of managing programmes of work, highlighting organisational prowess and ability to manage multiple projects
- People Person: Personable with excellent rapport-building skills and a commitment to outstanding client care
- Knowledge: Contribute to research, thought pieces on areas of expertise and knowledge-sharing initiatives
- Leading by example: Mentoring less experienced team members

- RICS APC counsellor for candidates
- A background in housing and or education sectors
- Ideally working in Industry.
- Key Account Management

- Professional Services Experience (i.e. Party Wall, Dilapidations, Disrepair)
- Specialist sector knowledge (i.e. Healthcare)
- Fire Compliance Knowledge
- Building Pathology and Defect Diagnosis
