Senior Building Surveyor – Building Consultancy

Summary

Surveyor / Senior Surveyor (MRICS) – Building Consultancy

Location: London (Hybrid) Service Line: Project & Development Services – Building Consultancy

We are searching for a highly motivated Senior Building Surveyor (MRICS) to join our dynamic London-based Building Consultancy team at Cushman & Wakefield. This is an exciting opportunity to work with major investors, landlords, and occupiers on diverse commercial property projects within a collaborative, performance-driven environment.

You will engage in both technical and project-focused roles while having the chance to develop your expertise, build client relationships, and shape our London market offering.


Key Responsibilities

Recruitment is focused on delivering a comprehensive range of core Building Surveying services, including:

  • Dilapidations (landlord & tenant assessments)
  • Technical Due Diligence (TDD)
  • Contract Administration & Employer’s Agent duties
  • Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
  • Reinstatement Cost Assessments (RCA)
  • Schedules of Condition
  • Building pathology, defect analysis, and reporting

  • Managing and nurturing client relationships across portfolios
  • Supporting and mentoring junior surveyors
  • Collaborating with colleagues across PDS, Valuation, Agency, and Asset Services
  • Contributing to business development initiatives
  • Engaging in regional and pan-European projects when required

Skills & Experience Required

  • MRICS qualification with demonstrated commercial consultancy experience
  • Strong foundation in core Building Surveying professional services
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-facing skills
  • Highly organised with advanced report-writing capabilities
  • Proactive, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple concurrent projects independently
  • Able to thrive in a collaborative team environment

Desirable:

  • Experience working with investors, developers, and occupiers
  • Proven success in delivering high-stakes property consultancy solutions
