Adkins Consultants is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Building Surveyor to join our multi-disciplinary team. This exciting role offers the opportunity to deliver a comprehensive range of Building Surveying services. Based at our Maidstone office, this position also supports flexible working arrangements, including working from home.

Key Responsibilities
The Senior Building Surveyor will be responsible for:
- Managing and delivering a variety of Building Surveying and project management duties for multiple sectors
- Assisting in developing new and repeat business opportunities
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships and overseeing project-by-project service delivery
- Applying and administering standard building contracts (e.g., JCT and NEC)
- Staying updated on industry trends and best practices
- Conducting defect analysis, building surveys and preparing detailed reports and specifications
- Providing services in key sectors, including education, local authorities, healthcare, central government, and infrastructure
- Promoting and upholding quality, health, safety, and environmental standards across projects
- Contributing to business growth by identifying and developing fee-earning opportunities
- Delivering professional services such as:
- Party wall matters
- Asset management
- Statutory applications
- Managing larger projects, including contract administration and project management
- Conducting due diligence, condition surveys, and measured surveys
- Leading small to medium-sized construction projects

Requirements
- BSc (Hons) Building Surveying – RICS accredited degree
- Proven all-round surveying experience
- Experience in pre- and post-contract project management, with a strong ability to deliver client-focused services
- Willingness to travel as required
- Skills in Microsoft Word/Excel
- Experience with AutoCAD and BIM Level 2 considered advantageous
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
- Commitment to maintaining legal, professional, and corporate compliance across all projects
Desirable experience includes:
- Party wall surveys
- Dilapidation surveys
- Quantity Surveying experience
