Senior Building Surveyor

This is an opportunity to work for a respected multidisciplinary property consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality Building Surveying services across the residential, commercial, and education sectors.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Senior Chartered Building Surveyor to join their Bristol office. This is a key role offering involvement in a wide variety of projects, with some additional responsibility for CDM Principal Designer duties.

Role Responsibilities Lead and manage refurbishment, maintenance, and new-build projects from inception to completion Undertake building surveys, defect diagnosis, and condition assessments Prepare specifications, tender documents, and administer contracts under JCT and other standard forms Provide professional advice on dilapidations, party wall matters, boundary disputes, and insurance claims Ensure compliance with current building regulations and technical standards Oversee site works and liaise closely with clients, contractors, and stakeholders Deliver high-quality written reports and client advice

Candidate Requirements MRICS Chartered Building Surveyor Proven experience across both professional and project-based building surveying Strong technical knowledge of construction, defects, and contract administration Clear and confident communicator with excellent client-facing skills Familiarity with CDM 2015 and willingness to support Principal Designer duties NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent is desirable but not essential Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects Experience within a consultancy environment is preferred
