We actively encourage flexible working arrangements, including compressed hours, recognising that diverse and adaptable working patterns help us build high‑performing, multi‑skilled teams. Together, we are working towards sustainable growth, tackling climate change, supporting nature’s recovery, and securing a better future for everyone.

As a Senior Building Surveyor, you will play a key role within the Estates Service, providing expert advice on a wide range of building‑related matters. The post will primarily support the Residential Estate, but also aspects of the Commercial Estate, offering the opportunity to work across a diverse and nationally significant property portfolio. This is a national role and will require a willingness to travel as necessary.

You will be confident in building and maintaining effective working relationships with a range of framework contractors and stakeholders. You will be expected to contribute to continuous improvement across the service by offering guidance, mentoring, and professional insight.

Incident response is an integral part of our work. As such, you will be assigned an incident role and must be prepared to make yourself available to respond to incidents or provide business continuity support when required.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
