Are you a seasoned Senior Business Analyst looking for a one-of-a-kind project?

Sopra Steria’s Aerospace Defence and Security sector are currently on the lookout for a Senior Business Analyst with a reasonable breadth of technical project knowledge to work on a secure project within the defence sector. This opportunity is truly unique and puts you in place to work on a mission critical defence project. If you are a well-rounded BA interested in supporting on enterprise level solutions this is for you!

This role would be hybrid, based out of our Hemel Hempstead office with occasional travel to client site and weekly working from home.

Due to the nature of the client and project, we are only able to progress with candidates that hold an active DV clearance.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Requirements Elicitation: Leading complex requirement gathering sessions with multiple stakeholders to capture detailed business needs.
  • Process Modelling and Improvement: Creating process models of moderate to high complexity to visualise current and future business processes. Identifying inefficiencies in business processes and recommending improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Documentation: Developing comprehensive and often complex documentation, including business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and user stories.
  • Stakeholder Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met and expectations managed.
  • Coordinating and leading client meetings: Acting as a primary contact for the client for major components of a solution.

What you’ll bring:

  • Business Analysis: Expertise in advanced business analysis techniques, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Requirements Elicitation and Analysis: Skilled in eliciting, analysing, managing and documenting business needs and complex requirements.
  • Process Modelling and Improvement: High degree of proficiency in business process modelling. Good understanding of process improvement and optimisation strategies and methodologies.
  • Methodologies: In-depth working knowledge of delivery principles and methodologies such as agile and waterfall.
  • Solution Design: Proficiency in developing comprehensive and scalable business solutions.
  • Stakeholder Management: Advanced skills in managing relationships with key stakeholders and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Documentation: Highly proficient in creating detailed documentation for the full range of business analysis activities, including business cases, process flows, and functional specifications.
