Senior Business Analyst

6 month contract (outside IR35)

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst with strong commercial insurance and data analysis expertise to support an important change project. This assignment will focus on requirements gathering, process improvement, data mapping, and stakeholder collaboration across a complex enterprise change initiative.

Responsibilities

The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for the Italian Surety project business requirements. The activities/deliverables are:

  • Business analysis approach outlined and agreed with PM and Business Lead - including scope of activity, approach, management and traceability of requirements, and plan
  • Ensure business benefits and outcomes are known & understood, requirements are captured and clearly understood so that they will deliver the stated business outcomes
  • Ensure business requirements are documented and validated/approved for the following in line with project timelines:
    • Take ownership of existing requirements artefacts for CAM API deliveries and Guidewire Claims.
    • Italian Surety Process Mapping & Requirements Documented
    • Operational Reporting AS-IS & To-BE Processes
    • Reinsurance AS-IS & TO-BE processes, high level requirements & user stories
    • Enterprise Reporting AS-IS & TO-BE process, HL requirements and user stories
  • Ensure that all requirements are validated appropriately with key business stakeholders and meet quality expectations.
  • Work closely with data office and solution architecture stakeholders to ensure proposed designs and deliveries meet requirements
  • Ensure BA support through build and test phases to answer queries and resolve defects.

  • Defines and owns the business analysis approach for assigned projects, ensuring stakeholder alignment and adherence to agreed standards
  • Rapidly develops an understanding of the business environment and elicits requirements from stakeholders at all levels
  • Analyses and documents business requirements to a high standard, ensuring outputs are clear, structured, and consumable across business and technical teams (Agile or Waterfall)
  • Ensures robust requirements management, including end-to-end traceability, prioritisation, change control, and approval
  • Represents business requirements through solution design, build, and testing phases, working closely with solution partners and suppliers
  • Works collaboratively with Data and Engineering teams to ensure data requirements are understood and accurately reflected in solutions
  • Ensures alignment between business requirements and downstream reporting and data usage
  • Applies business analysis best practice tools, techniques, and standards throughout the project lifecycle
  • Supports the development of the business analysis practice through knowledge sharing
  • Participates in post-implementation reviews, lessons learned sessions, and continuous improvement activities
