Senior Business Analyst
Junior Business Analyst – Defence & Security Sector
Location: UK Employment Type: Permanent Reports To: Senior Business Analyst / Program Manager Travel: Yes – 10% of the time Security Clearance: DBS check required (UK citizenship mandatory)

Key Responsibilities
As Junior Business Analyst, you will:
- Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, testers and system engineers to gather, analyse and document business and technical requirements.
- Translate complex business challenges into structured insights to support decision-making.
- Develop high-quality documentation and user stories, enabling change initiatives without defining solutions.
- Facilitate meetings, stakeholder engagements, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Evaluate potential solutions against business needs and propose process improvements.
- Provide clarity in ambiguous situations and ensure alignment across multidisciplinary teams.

Position Requirements
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and structured-thinking abilities.
- Exceptional communication skills—adaptable to diverse audiences from senior leadership to technical teams.
- Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail and an ability to manage competing priorities.
- Proactive, curious mindset with a willingness to learn and develop within business analysis.
- Experience in collaborative environments (ongoing interaction with teammates).
Desirable Experience
- Exposure to Agile methodologies or Scrum, including writing user stories and change tickets.
- Familiarity with tools such as:
- Jira
- GitLab
- Confluence
- Interest or background in the defence, security, or government sectors.
