Who We Are
Credit Benchmark is a financial data and analytics company transforming how global credit risk is understood and managed. Founded by serial entrepreneurs and backed by leading investors including Balderton Capital and Index Ventures, we’re a fast-growing team of technology, finance, and data experts committed to making financial markets safer and more transparent. With headquarters in London and offices in New York and Bangalore, we bring a global perspective to the challenge of credit risk and capital management.
What We Do
Credit Benchmark provides a unique, data-driven alternative to traditional credit ratings through our innovative Credit Consensus Ratings. By aggregating and anonymizing internal risk views from 40 of the world’s largest financial institutions, we deliver forward-looking, one-year Probabilities of Default and powerful analytics on over 115,000 entities—five times the coverage of traditional rating agencies. Our data helps global financial institutions and businesses make better-informed decisions, optimize capital allocation, and de-risk the critical decisions on which the financial system depends. From corporates to funds to public entities, we offer a uniquely comprehensive “view of the street” on credit risk.
The Opportunity
Credit Benchmark is looking to strengthen its Business Analysis capability across three agile delivery squads. This role, one of two newly created BA roles, sits within a product-led operating model where Product Strategy sets direction, Product Owners shape and prioritise outcomes, with the Business Analysts helping to convert those outcomes into clear, deliverable requirements for engineering teams.
The Senior Business Analyst will play a lead role in shaping, clarifying, and driving product delivery across multiple squads. The role requires someone who can work closely with Product Owners, Product Strategy, engineering, QA, data, and operational stakeholders to turn product direction into well-structured epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and delivery-ready requirements.
This is not a narrow requirements capture role. The successful candidate will be expected to challenge assumptions, identify gaps, bring delivery discipline, and help squads make pragmatic decisions in a fast-moving fintech environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with Product Owners and Product Strategy to translate product goals into clear, actionable delivery requirements.
- Lead analysis across multiple squads, ensuring consistency of approach, documentation quality, and requirement traceability.
- Break down initiatives into epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, process flows, and supporting documentation.
- Facilitate workshops, refinement sessions, and discovery conversations with business, product, engineering, QA, and operational stakeholders.
- Support backlog refinement and sprint planning, helping Product Owners ensure that squad backlogs are clear, prioritised, and delivery-ready.
- Identify dependencies, risks, gaps, and ambiguity early, and drive resolution without waiting to be directed.
- Partner with engineering and QA to ensure requirements are understood, testable, and aligned to business outcomes.
- Support UAT, release readiness, defect triage, and post-release review where required.
- Mentor or provide guidance to less experienced Business Analysts, helping raise the standard of BA practice across squads.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for a self-starting Senior BA who can operate credibly with product and technology teams, challenge constructively, and keep delivery moving. The right person will be comfortable with overlapping responsibilities between Product Owners and BAs and will focus on making the operating model work rather than defending narrow role boundaries.
This role requires strong fintech or financial services experience, SaaS experience, and confidence working with product and engineering teams, and the ability to operate with limited supervision. We are looking for someone who can bring structure, clarity, and momentum to complex product and delivery conversations.
What We Want To See

- Proven ability to write high-quality user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, and functional documentation.
- Experience working closely with Product Owners, engineering teams, QA, and senior stakeholders.
- Ability to operate across multiple squads or workstreams without losing detail or delivery focus.
- Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to bring structure to complex product, data, or workflow problems.
What We Offer
- Ownership: The chance to build an independent BA function for the business, currently BA work is done by a mix of people across product and tech.
- Experience and exposure: The chance to work with an innovative ProdTech team across the US, UK and India.
- Broad scope across Data Factory, Web, API and AI solutions
- Holidays: Competitive holiday package
- Health and Wellbeing: Private health Insurance cover including mental health cover

- Travel: Cycle to work scheme
- Healthy work/life balance
