Senior Business Analyst

Senior Business Analyst (SBA) – Core Bank Value Stream (UK Core)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst (SBA) to join our team within the Core Bank Enablement Value Stream under the Core Bank CIO.

As the Senior Business Analyst in this role, you will:

  • Work closely with other Business Analysts and change colleagues to deliver a significant change portfolio.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders, designing and delivering solutions that underpin our Core Bank (SAP).
  • Support Core Bank’s BA community, BA and PO practice, and broader change initiatives.

We seek a proactive, highly motivated individual who thrives in hands-on work, driving positive outcomes through influence and expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver complex business and process changes aligned with Core Bank transformation goals.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders to elicit requirements, analyse gaps, and recommend actionable solutions.
  • Support end-to-end change projects, from advocacy and stakeholder alignment to solution implementation.
  • Strengthen BA capabilities across the Core Bank by guiding best practices, mentoring colleagues, and shaping methodological improvements.
  • Contribute to the BA and Programme Office (PO) practice, ensuring alignment with wider delivery and strategy.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve challenges and improve systems supporting Nationwide’s Core Bank.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst (SBA/Lead BA level), ideally with banking or financial services exposure.
  • Strong ability to analyse complex requirements, identify risks, and propose solutions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, especially with senior executives.
  • Familiarity with 企业管理أمازوونإسפ (SAP systems) is a major plus but not mandatory if offset by strong technical consultation abilities.
  • Adaptability to a hybrid working environment with ability to thrive in structured collaboration.
