What’s your possible?
At Northrop Grumman UK, you are part of a team driving innovation where it matters most, solving tomorrow’s challenges and shaping the technology solutions of the future. It is what we call Defining Possible.
This mindset goes beyond our customer solutions. It underpins how we support your career development and the impact we make in our communities.
This is more than just a job. It is a mission.
As a Junior Business Analyst, you will play a key role in helping our customers deliver meaningful change, often through the implementation of innovative technology solutions. Working as part of a collaborative Northrop Grumman UK team, you will support the delivery of complex programmes across the defence and security sector.
You will bring clarity to ambiguity, working closely with stakeholders to understand business challenges, capture requirements, and ensure solutions deliver real value. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who enjoys problem-solving, thrives in dynamic environments, and wants to develop professionally within a mission-led organisation.
What you will be doing
- Work with stakeholders to gather, analyse and document business and technical requirements
- Support the translation of complex business challenges into clear, structured insights that inform decision making
- Produce high-quality documentation to enable effective delivery of change initiatives without prescribing solutions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including developers, testers and systems engineers
- Facilitate meetings and contribute to stakeholder engagement and communication activities
- Evaluate solutions against business needs and recommend improvements to processes, systems or ways of working

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
