Job Summary
This position is based nationally.
Job Description
As a Business Analyst, your core purpose will be to act as the bridge between the business and the technical team. This involves:
- Identifying the requirements of a service.
- Defining the benefits for the user and translating these into actionable requirements for the development team.
- Working iteratively with the business and technical teams to:
- Clarify ambiguity.
- Resolve issues.
- Assist with additional functionality across the service development lifecycle.
You will:
- Apply experience in a variety of elicitation methods, advising your team on the most appropriate methods for stakeholders and scenarios.
- Have the opportunity to grow management capabilities and manage relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Evolve into a leading voice within the business analysis community.
Essential Skills and Experience
Experience of working in a large digital organisation, or a demonstrable understanding of how large digital organisations operate in this context.
- Previous experience working across senior technical and business stakeholders, ensuring:
- Requirements are understood.
- Acceptance criteria are aligned.
- Proven ability to manage product lifecycles, ensuring full alignment with wider departmental strategy.
- Experience in analysing large amounts of complex information to produce clear solutions.
- Successfully managed other Business Analysts by:
- Quality-assuring work.
- Providing mentorship to improve outcomes.

Security Requirements
Successful candidates must:
- Undergo a criminal record check.
- Complete baseline personnel security standard checks if they handle government assets.

This vacancy is open to:
- UK nationals.
- Nationals of the Republic of Ireland.
- Nationals of Commonwealth countries with the right to work in the UK.
- Nationals of the EU, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, or Liechtenstein, including family members with settled or pre-settled status via the European Union Settlement Scheme (EUSS).
