About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our client’s team in London. This role focuses on the Repo and Security Lending pre-trade operations within a prominent investment management arm of a global bank. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in delivering platform enhancements and ensuring the seamless integration of new features into the existing systems. Your expertise will help bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, facilitating effective communication and project success.
Qualifications
- Strong background in business analysis within a trading environment, with specific knowledge of Repo and Security Lending markets.
- Degree in a STEM discipline with a 2.1 or above classification.
- Demonstrated experience working with front office traders, quants, and other stakeholders.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Good technical understanding to effectively liaise between business and engineering teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for translating complex requirements into actionable technical specifications.

Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders, including traders, quants, and senior management, to inform system enhancements and new development initiatives.
- Participate actively in the full software development lifecycle, from initial requirements gathering and analysis, through design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate closely with technology teams, providing clear documentation and ensuring that technical solutions meet business needs.
- Facilitate communication between business users and technical teams, translating non-technical requirements into technical specifications and vice versa.
- Support the implementation of Greenfield pre-trade systems, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and sign off on test results to ensure quality and functionality before deployment.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and system automation to enhance operational efficiency and reduce risk.
- Maintain awareness of industry trends and regulatory changes impacting Repo and Security Lending activities, advising stakeholders accordingly.
