Senior Business Analyst

Contract | Inside IR35 | Up to £480 per day

Active SC Clearance essential

We're supporting a leading UK digital consultancy on the search for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join a high-profile government transformation programme.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in delivering large-scale digital services, working alongside multidisciplinary Agile teams to improve user outcomes and modernise critical government services.

This role is Inside IR35, offers a day rate of up to £480 per day, and requires travel to London, Milton Keynes, or East Kilbride as required.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead business analysis activities across complex digital transformation programmes.
  • Facilitate workshops and collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and define solutions.
  • Capture, analyse and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
  • Produce user stories, acceptance criteria, and support backlog refinement.
  • Map current and future state business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Work closely with Product Managers, Delivery Managers, Architects, Developers, and Testers within Agile delivery teams.
  • Coach and mentor Business Analysts, sharing best practice and helping to develop capability across the wider team.
  • Support continuous improvement of Agile delivery practices and business analysis standards.
  • Use Azure DevOps to manage requirements and support delivery activities where appropriate.

What we're looking for

  • Extensive experience working as a Senior Business Analyst on complex digital transformation programmes.
  • Strong Agile delivery experience within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
  • Proven experience of requirements engineering, business process modelling, and user story development.
  • Experience mentoring or coaching Business Analysts and promoting best practice.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps would be highly desirable.
