FDM Business Analyst Opportunity

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Business Analyst to work for our client within the Financial Services sector. This is initially a contract opportunity with strong potential for extension and will be a hybrid role based in Glasgow or Cheshire.

Our client is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support a major business transformation programme, helping define and implement retention and archive processes associated with the transition of critical business information and records. The successful candidate will play a key role from project mobilisation through build and delivery, working closely with stakeholders to define requirements, establish processes, and support successful implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Support the definition and development of retention and archive processes and associated business requirements.
  • Conduct high-level and detailed analysis of business processes, use cases, workflows, and information management requirements.
  • Elicit, document, and validate business requirements, ensuring alignment with project objectives and stakeholder expectations.
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define future-state processes and operational approaches.
  • Produce detailed process flows, requirements documentation, and supporting analysis artefacts for delivery teams.
  • Support planning, estimation, and delivery activities by providing clear and actionable requirements.
  • Manage stakeholder workshops, gather feedback, and obtain approvals on key deliverables.
  • Provide ongoing support throughout build, testing, implementation, and post-delivery activities.
  • Work independently to manage analysis workstreams, priorities, and deliverables.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
