About The Role
This role sits within LRACCS (Legal, Regulatory Affairs, Compliance & Company Secretary) and is accountable for leading the transformation of the LRACCS operating and delivery model, turning the FY30 Target Operating Model and Operating Plan into reality.
The role operates across the LRACCS Corporate Unit, spanning legal, regulatory, compliance and company secretariat services delivered to BT’s Customer Facing Units and Group and is pivotal to re engineering how LRACCS delivers at scale and accelerating the the shift to an AI enabled delivery model, for example by industrialising routine activity through digital self serve, AI augmented workflows and a single front-door for triage and prioritisation, with the aims of optimising cost, improving productivity and strengthening risk management in an increasingly complex regulatory environment.
Critically, it delivers the foundations required for long term competitiveness: a single intelligent front door, a structured knowledge and data layer, an AI fluent workforce, and a delivery model that scales sustainably as regulatory, data and commercial complexity increases. In doing so, the role helps ensure BT can move fast, innovate with confidence and operate within risk appetite

- Lead Legal Operations for LRACCS, establishing the standards, processes, tools and governance required for efficient, scalable, data-driven service delivery.
- Drive AI transformation across LRACCS, embedding AI into operational workflows, building workforce capability, leading adoption and representing LRACCS within the Group AI hub-and-spoke model to shape priorities and use cases.
- Lead change delivery across programmes and workstreams, managing dependencies, risks and sequencing to ensure successful implementation and sustained business adoption.
- Establish and optimise a single Digital Front Door for LRACCS, enabling effective demand triage, self-service and AI-supported delivery while reducing manual effort and rework.
- Use performance data and insights to drive continuous improvement, identifying issues early and building the operational and change capability required to sustain outcomes over time.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
