About the Role
Working with the Deloitte Associate (Contractor) Programme means we can offer you the opportunity to work on a variation of industry and client related projects. Role
The Senior Business Change Manager will shape and deliver business change for technology-enabled projects. The role focuses on clear change strategy, practical communication and engagement plans, strong stakeholder relationships, and sustained user adoption. You will also support the Head of Change & Analysis by mentoring junior team members, encouraging innovation, and embedding continual service improvement across the team.
Responsibilities
- Define and deliver business change strategies that maximise user adoption, reduce resistance, and support successful IT project delivery.
- Create clear change and communication plans, including key messages, sponsor roadmaps, stakeholder engagement, resistance management, and adoption activities.
- Engage technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels, building trust, gaining support, and navigating complex stakeholder needs with confidence and diplomacy.
- Provide strategic change input at project and board level, ensuring business impacts, risks, and readiness are understood and managed.
- Oversee change activity during implementation and after go-live, helping teams sustain adoption while avoiding change saturation across the business.
- Coach and mentor junior business change managers, supporting their development and helping maintain a high-performing team.
- Champion innovation, including the practical use of AI and other emerging technologies to improve change management processes and team efficiency.
- Embed a continual service improvement mindset by identifying opportunities to improve services, ways of working, and overall change delivery quality.
- Lead by example, promote service excellence, and role model the firm's values in day-to-day delivery.

Essential Skills
- Extensive business change and technology adoption experience within a project delivery environment; professional services experience is highly beneficial.
- Proven experience delivering large-scale business change, with strong knowledge of change management principles, methods, tools, and adoption planning.
- Ability to develop practical change deliverables, including impact assessments, engagement plans, communication plans, sponsor plans, and resistance management approaches.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to present, influence, and manage senior stakeholders effectively.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience leading, coaching, or mentoring junior team members.
- Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to respond quickly to changing business needs and adjust the change approach when required.
- Good understanding of professional services business processes and the people side of change.
- Experience with PROSCI, ITIL, PRINCE2/waterfall, and Agile methodologies is highly desirable; business change management certification is an advantage.
