Your Role at a Glance
The Senior Business Change Specialist is an experienced individual contributor within the Strategy Realization Office (SRO), supporting the translation of strategic priorities into structured, executable change initiatives across the organisation.
This role is not purely operational, nor purely strategic. It sits at the intersection of strategy enablement, business change, and execution support, working closely with senior stakeholders and SRO leadership to shape, structure, and deliver initiatives that drive measurable business value.
The role focuses on bringing clarity to ambiguity, applying structured thinking to complex challenges, and supporting the development of repeatable approaches, playbooks, and programme frameworks that strengthen how change is delivered across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy Enablement & Change Delivery Support
- Support the shaping and structuring of business, digital, and organisational change initiatives.
- Translate strategic intent into clearly defined problem statements, initiatives, and actionable work packages.
- Assist in aligning initiatives to enterprise priorities, ensuring a balance between ambition, feasibility, and commercial value.
- Contribute to the development of programme structures, delivery roadmaps, and implementation plans.
Analysis & Decision Support
- Conduct structured analysis to support decision-making, including:
- Options appraisal
- Benefits and value assessment
- Delivery feasibility
- Risk and dependency identification
- Develop clear, decision-focused artefacts such as process maps, business cases, and functional requirements.
- Apply a fact-based, pragmatic approach to problem-solving across business and operational challenges.
Process, Operating Model & Systems Improvement
- Support reviews of current-state processes, operating models, and supporting systems.
- Conduct fit-gap analysis with a focus on simplification, standardisation, and scalability.
- Apply a digital-first mindset, identifying opportunities for improvement through systems, data, and automation.
- Contribute to business systems assessments and transformation or integration activities.
Playbooks, Frameworks & Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of change playbooks, blueprints, and standard approaches.
- Support the development of repeatable frameworks that enable consistent and scalable delivery.
- Help maintain a repository of business and programme artefacts to support knowledge reuse and continuous improvement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
