Are you an experienced consultant who enjoys helping organisations solve complex challenges, deliver transformation and achieve lasting business outcomes?

At Sopra Steria's Aerospace, Defence and Security consulting practice, we're growing our team and looking for a Senior Business Consultant to support clients across business transformation and technology-enabled change. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of public and private sector clients, helping them navigate change, improve performance and realise the benefits of new ways of working and emerging technologies.

As a generalist consultant, you'll work across a range of transformation disciplines, including business analysis, process improvement, target operating model design, change management, customer experience, automation, workforce planning and data-driven decision making. You'll collaborate closely with clients and colleagues, building trusted relationships while delivering meaningful outcomes in complex environments.

We operate in a predominantly in-person delivery model. This role requires regular travel to client locations across the South of England and the M4 corridor, with consultants typically spending two to three days per week on client sites or in Sopra Steria offices. To support this requirement, you'll need to be located within reasonable travelling distance of these locations.

What you'll be doing:

  • Delivering workstreams across business transformation and technology-enabled change programmes, ensuring agreed scope, quality, timescales and financial objectives are achieved.
  • Facilitating workshops and stakeholder interviews, translating outcomes into clear deliverables including requirements, process maps, target operating model artefacts and recommendations.
  • Gathering and analysing data and evidence to identify insights, solve business challenges and produce high-quality client-ready outputs.
  • Building and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships while managing risks, issues and dependencies to support successful delivery outcomes.
  • Supporting business development activities through proposals, reusable consulting assets, case studies and proposition development.
  • Coaching colleagues, sharing knowledge and acting as an ambassador for the Aerospace, Defence and Security consulting practice and Sopra Steria.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
