Our Senior Business Controller is the finance partner to our global function leaders. The role owns planning, reporting, forecasting and performance insight for the functions in scope, helping leaders make informed decisions on cost, investment, headcount and priorities.

This role combines strong financial control with commercial thinking. It gives leaders clear visibility of performance, supports sound decision-making and helps us invest wisely in our product roadmap, transformation activity and people.

The postholder will lead a team of three and work closely with Finance, FP&A and senior business stakeholders to improve financial visibility, strengthen planning and drive better business outcomes.

Principal Job Responsibilities:

  • Own the monthly management reporting cycle for the global functions in scope, including variance analysis, KPI reporting and clear commentary for senior stakeholders.
  • Lead the forecasting process for the functions in scope, working with business leaders to translate operational plans into robust financial forecasts.
  • Drive the annual budgeting process end to end, from planning assumptions through to final submission, ensuring budgets align with strategic priorities and business plans.
  • Act as the key finance business partner to global function heads, providing support, challenge and insight on cost control, investment choices, headcount planning and resource allocation.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and decision support on topics such as organisational design, hiring plans, cost scenarios, prioritisation and return on investment.
  • Support development of business cases for strategic initiatives by modelling cost, value, payback and financial impact.
  • Track and validate transformation benefits, maintaining visibility from approved business case through to realised value and highlighting gaps, risks or delays early.
  • Prepare high-quality reporting packs and executive summaries that clearly explain performance, risks, opportunities and key movements.
  • Ensure reporting outputs are accurate, timely and aligned to group finance standards, reporting calendars and planning requirements.
  • Work closely with Group Finance and FP&A to ensure function-level reporting feeds effectively into wider group reporting and planning activity.
  • Drive consistency in financial processes, cost allocation approaches, reporting structures and management information across the functions in scope.
  • Identify and implement improvements to reporting processes, tools and dashboards to increase automation, improve insight and reduce cycle times.
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of three, setting clear expectations and building strong delivery standards across reporting, planning and business support.
