About HumansWork

HumansWork is a steward-owned company built for long-term alignment, not short-term extraction. We're a different model for building teams: expert-led recruitment that pairs a curated network of talent with a collaborative, success-based approach to hiring. Our mission is to make impactful connections helping companies build stronger, more sustainable teams while giving talented people access to work that fits.

We place both freelance and permanent talent across Engineering, Human Resources, Marketing & Finance, ESG & Impact, Operations, and Product & Digital. Every candidate in our network is assessed and pre-vetted by field experts, and our pricing is 100% success-based, clients only pay if a hire works out. We manage the full journey from sourcing to onboarding, and we operate as a globally distributed network across multiple jurisdictions.

Better Connection. Better Collaboration. Better Business. That's the standard everything we do is measured against.

About the role

As the Senior Business Development Executive at HumansWork, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth and expansion of the company. You'll be responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to acquire and retain clients who need talent, both freelance and permanent, while championing our steward-owned, success-based model in every conversation. Working closely with our expert network and delivery teams, you'll connect companies with pre-validated talent and make sure each engagement reflects our commitment to long-term alignment over short-term wins. You'll work directly with leadership, help shape our go-to-market approach, and have real room to grow with the company.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and growth strategy, aligned with HumansWork's steward-owned, long-term model.
  • Identify and target potential clients across our focus areas: Engineering, HR, Marketing & Finance, ESG & Impact, Operations, and Product & Digital and managing the end-to-end sales process from first contact to signed engagement.
  • Win both freelance and permanent recruitment mandates, clearly communicating our success-based pricing model (no hire, no fee).
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified clients, actively prospecting new opportunities and converting them into long-term partnerships.
  • Partner closely with our expert network and delivery teams to translate client needs into clear hiring briefs and ensure pre-validated profiles are delivered fast (freelance within 48 hours, permanent in approximately two weeks).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across operations, people, and marketing to tailor solutions and ensure a smooth experience from sourcing through onboarding.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor analysis, and market dynamics to effectively position HumansWork's offering.
  • Drive revenue growth by deepening existing client relationships and expanding into new roles and teams.
  • Represent HumansWork at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to enhance brand visibility and build strong relationships within the wider community.
  • Uphold a high standard of ethics and compliance across jurisdictions in all business activities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
