About the Role

As part of the Distribution Team for Rathbones Asset Management (RAM), work within agreed parameters to deliver against sales targets and business objectives. To act as leader of the team and represent the team as line manager and to work with The Head of Partnerships and Regional sales to coordinate client activity and strategy for the hybrid RAM sales team.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Line manage (as a player manager), The BDE RAM hybrid sales team
  • Work with Distribution leadership team to represent your team and help design strategy
  • Representing the front face of Rathbones the candidate will develop relationships internally and externally to enable them to deliver and retain business across the spectrum of products and services offered by Rathbone Asset Management.
  • Ensure consistent communication on Rathbone products and services and deal with specific enquiries on both a reactive and proactive basis.
  • Work with the Business Development Directors and Heads of Departments to devise, action and review a sales strategy for your defined client market.
  • Deliver an agreed level of new business in line with regional team sales target.
  • Proactively follow-up on sales activities generated by Business Development Directors
  • Plan and organise sales visits and client presentations for the Business Development Directors
  • Proactively carry out external communication of sales and marketing campaigns.
  • ‘Close deals’ ensuring that the appropriate product or service has been sold.
  • Build appropriate internal relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate external introductions where appropriate.
  • Provide market feedback to the business

  • Have experience working in a similar role in Financial Services or the Investment Management industry
