Reporting directly to the Directors, you will play a key role in driving the agency's growth by identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities.
This is a strategic, relationship-led role focused on building a pipeline of organisations with recurring conference, meeting, and event programmes, converting opportunities into long-term partnerships, and helping to shape our continued growth.
You'll engage with corporate organisations, membership bodies, associations, and institutions seeking a trusted global events partner to deliver conferences, congresses, leadership meetings, incentive programmes, and executive events.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a targeted business development strategy.
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities.
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospective clients.
- Develop relationships with senior decision-makers, procurement teams, and key stakeholders.
- Generate new opportunities through networking, referrals, and proactive outreach.
- Support proposals, pitches, and commercial discussions alongside the Managing Director.
- Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and CRM records.
- Represent TrendStep professionally across meetings, networking events, and industry activities.

About You
You are an experienced business development professional with a proven track record of winning new business and developing long-term client relationships.
You'll ideally have:
- A strong commercial mindset and a consultative approach to sales.
- Experience selling high-value services within the events, hospitality, agency, or professional services sectors.
- An established network of senior business contacts.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- The ability to work independently while collaborating closely with a small, ambitious team.
- A passion for delivering exceptional client experiences.
