About the Role
We’re looking for a ** Senior Business Development Manager** who thrives on securing large-scale, high-value deals in retail and hospitality (QSR), responsible for leading multi-million-pound roll-outs and building strategic relationships from the shop floor to the boardroom.
This is an opportunity to join a market-leading, high-growth business, with real influence across the UK retail landscape.

Role Details:
- Location: Hybrid (Wednesdays at our office in Bishops Cleeve, Cheltenham)
- Salary: £65,000 – £78,000 plus uncapped commission
Responsibilities
Core Duties
- Win new business with Tier 1 retail and QSR brands, hitting ambitious sales targets.
- Build sustainable relationships with stakeholders at all levels (operational, management, executive).
- Develop and manage a high-quality sales pipeline (up to 18 months in advance), projecting revenue growth.
- Lead contract negotiations, collaborating with Head of Sales and legal teams to safeguard VoCoVo’s interests.
- Deliver compelling presentations that brings the VoCoVo value proposition to life.
- Engage cross-functionally to optimise impact at every stage of the sales cycle.
- Drive continuous opportunity creation with support from lead generation teams.

Expected Performance Timeline
- 0–3 Months: Adapt to VoCoVo’s business, understand products/customers, begin prospecting.
- 3–12 Months: Build a strong, qualified pipeline with clear liquidity and revenue generation paths.
- 12+ Months: Scale large-scale roll-outs and sustain pipeline growth.
Requirements
Essential Skills & Experience
- 5+ years’ experience closing multi-million-pound deals in Tier 1 retail or QSR sectors.
- Proven negotiator, skilled in complex contract protection and high-value deal structuring.
- Ability to engage senior management and C-suite level contacts with confidence.
- Retail technology knowledge, including leading software-as-a-service (SaaS) or hardware-based connectivity solutions.
- Exceptional progression and C-level presentation abilities.
- Strong pipeline management and forecasting skills (HubSpot experience a plus).
- Customer-centric mindset with experience driving collaborative, operational change in retail environments.
Bonus Considerations
- Direct experience selling smart retail tech or hospitality technology.
- Sales background in hardware or SaaS solutions.
- Specific QSR experience (e.g., Fast Casual, Quick Service Restaurants).
