Trust Payments has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Development Manager to join Sales & Customer Excellence team.
Location: Hybrid - Bromley, United Kingdom

How will you make an impact in this role?
Trust Payments is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to join our growing sales function. The role is UK-based with a flexible/hybrid setup, enabling you to build relationships with prospective customers and partners across the UK and Europe, from start-up to enterprise level.
This role focuses on new business development, with an emphasis on building profitable relationships. The successful candidate will develop a thorough understanding of our core and value-added proposition, applying our solutions to address customer challenges. We are looking for someone with a collaborative approach, a clear sense of purpose, and a demonstrated ability to develop and deliver successful business development strategies.
A strong track record in sales is essential.
What We Expect of You, Day To Day:
- Actively identify prospective merchants and introducers, clearly communicating the value of Trust Payments' products and services
- Understand key challenges faced by merchants and partners, recommending the most suitable products and services whilst maintaining profitable terms
- Agree commercial and contractual terms, with full support available from your Line Manager, Department Director, and Pricing Manager
- Support newly onboarded customers through their transition to an Account Manager
- Nurture introducer relationships by building mutual trust and growing their portfolio of referred merchants
- Keep our CRM system up to date to support accurate reporting, forecasting, and pipeline management
- Represent Trust Payments at industry events as required
- We encourage in-person meetings with prospective clients and partners, enabling richer conversation and more effective problem-solving

Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years' demonstrated experience selling within a payments environment, including research, needs discovery, solution recommendation, and problem-solving
- Confidence engaging with C-level stakeholders
- Experience in eCommerce gateway and technical sales
- Strong skills in needs development, solution selling, negotiation, and communication
- Recent experience applying a consultative selling methodology
- A consistent record of building business within our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and target markets
- Experience in sector-specific, strategy-based sales
