Senior Business Development Manager

Senior Business Development Manager - Construction Technology

About E1 Group

E1 Group is a leading Construction Technology (ConTech) business helping transform the way the commercial construction industry manages subcontractor procurement. We’re growing quickly and building the future of connected procurement for construction.

While we’ve established ourselves as a trusted partner to leading contractors globally, we remain a scale-up at heart—moving fast, thinking big, and creating meaningful impact for an industry ready for change. We pride ourselves on fostering a high-performing culture where people are supported to thrive. We’ve been recognised twice on the AFR Best Place to Work list, proving that ambitious growth and genuine care for our teams go hand in hand.

The Role

We’re seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to drive engagement in the Tier 1 and Tier 2 construction markets.

This is a full-cycle sales role, where you’ll:

  • Own opportunities end-to-end, from prospecting through to closing.
  • Build strategic relationships with senior decision-makers.
  • Guide customers through a consultative sales process.

This position is ideal for someone passionate about busting into new markets rather than simply expanding existing demand. We are hunting for a high-energy negotiator—someone who excels at identifying white-space opportunities, cracking doors, and converting cold opportunities into actionable pipeline.

You’ll join at a pivotal growth stage where your strategic contribution will shape E1’s go-to-market approach as we build a defining category in construction tech.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead the pipeline: Develop your own pipeline through outbound prospecting, networking, and strategic account growth.
  • Uncover customer insight: Drive discovery conversations with senior stakeholders to pinpoint challenges, priorities, and growth opportunities.
  • Align solutions with needs: Run tailored product demonstrations and craft commercial proposals that address specific customer pain points.
  • Close complex deals: Navigate full-cycle sales from initial engagement to negotiation and close.
  • Build trusted advisor relationships: Deepen connections with buying committees to position E1 as a crucial industry partner.
  • Create bespoke value propositions: Develop high-quality pitches and commercial recommendations aligned with customer needs.
  • Maintain sales discipline: Ensure robust pipeline management and CRM accuracy.
  • Shape strategy: Collaborate with leadership to refine our sales approach, messaging, and growth initiatives.
  • Support team growth: Mentor junior team members by sharing best practices to elevate team performance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
