Senior Business Development Manager
Location: North London (Hybrid, minimum 2 days/week)
Role Type: 100% Individual Contributor (Pure Hunter)
Our client is a fast-growing, modern digital compliance platform changing how UK employers handle background screening. By turning manual vetting from a painful multi-week chore into a sleek, mobile-first process completed in days, they are rapidly disrupting the market.
Backed by a parent group with an immaculate 5-star reputation and over 450,000 people helped into work, they have already dominated the security sector. Now, they are ready to take over the rest of the UK market—and they need a relentless sales hunter to lead the charge.
The Mission
This is not an account management gig. You won't be babysitting clients or waiting for marketing to drop leads into your lap. You will own the non-security market from scratch, targeting sectors like Local Government, Retail, Education, Healthcare, Finance, and Logistics.
Your split looks like this:
- 70% Hunting: Smashing outbound prospecting, cold outreach, and netting new logos.
- 20% Farming: Growing the accounts you just landed within their first 12 months (cross-selling check types, adding new sites).
- 10% Feedback: Acting as their eyes and ears on the frontline, helping to shape the product roadmap and sales playbook.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
