Senior Business Development Manager

Commercially Driven Business Development Role

This isn’t every Business Development role. This one lets you build a department.

About the Role

BTB is collaborating with a long-established international exhibition and experiential design agency undergoing a transformative growth phase. After a recent restructure, they’re seeking a commercially astute Business Development professional who can go beyond sales targets—someone eager to drive strategy, reshape the commercial strategy, and eventually build their own team.

If you thrive at opening doors, cultivating relationships, and closing high-value projects rather than managing existing accounts, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Job Overview

This is genuine consultative new business—you’ll identify opportunities, engage with senior decision-makers, and establish lasting partnerships with exhibitors across the UK and globally.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing new business opportunities through proactive outreach and networking
  • Building relationships with senior stakeholders across industries
  • Attending exhibitions (UK and international) to generate leads
  • Managing projects from initial conversations to final commercial agreements
  • Collaborating with Directors on pitch decks and business proposals
  • Maintaining a healthy sales pipeline using CRM tools
  • Becoming a key commercial operator as the business grows

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
