About the Role As a Senior Business Development Manager at Sokin, you will act as the initial point of contact for prospective corporate clients across the mid-market and enterprise segments. Your key duties will include sourcing, qualifying, and engaging with high-value opportunities, while building a strong pipeline to support long-term client relationships.
This is a high-impact commercial role, ideal for ambitious individuals seeking to develop into future sales leadership. You’ll also gain exposure to Sokin’s suite of solutions, including global payments and receivables, FX (Foreign Exchange), and treasury management. Working closely with sophisticated businesses, you’ll address their cross-border financial needs while utilising best-in-class tools and a proven sales playbook to drive success.

Key Responsibilities

Proactively identify, research, and develop new business opportunities across mid-market and enterprise segments, using channels such as LinkedIn, CRM intelligence, partner referrals, and targeted outbound prospecting.

Conduct structured qualification by evaluating client needs, treasury requirements, FX exposure, and complexities around international payments and cross-border receivables.

Lead initial engagement with senior stakeholders and decision-makers, leveraging a multi-channel approach (email, phone, LinkedIn, and strategic social outreach).

Secure and coordinate high-value discovery calls and commercial meetings, ensuring opportunities are qualified and aligned for progress within the sales pipeline.

Collaborate closely with internal teams (e.g., Marketing, Compliance, Product, Client Onboarding) to drive seamless opportunity conversion and deliver an exceptional prospect experience.

Maintain accurate, timely, and commercially relevant CRM documentation for all activities, pipeline status, and prospect insights, ensuring visibility and reporting integrity.

Support the planning and execution of outbound campaigns and targeted go-to-market initiatives within assigned sectors, regions, or strategic verticals.

Consistently meet performance objectives, including weekly activity benchmarks and monthly qualified opportunity targets, contributing to revenue growth and pipeline health.

Build commercial expertise in international markets, enterprise sales methodology, FX, and treasury solutions, while leveraging Sokin’s development opportunities for broader commercial growth.

Requirements
Core Competencies

6+ years of proven enterprise sales experience, with a track record of managing complex, high-value deals and extended sales cycles across senior (and cross-functional) stakeholder groups.

Recognised for championing and advocating a specialist field, showcasing deep market expertise, thought leadership, and the ability to influence customers and internal stakeholders.

Strong discovery and qualification skills, able to uncover commercial priorities, operational pain points, and treasury needs to position Sokin’s solutions effectively.

Exceptional written and verbal communication, delivering clear, compelling, and value-driven messaging tailored to finance leaders (e.g., CFO, FD, Treasurer, Head of Finance).

Commercially sharp, with strong business acumen and the ability to prioritise value-driven, urgent, and strategically-fit opportunities.

Growth mindset, naturally curious, and receptive to coaching, committed to becoming a trusted advisor for both clients and internal stakeholders.

Highly organised and detail-oriented, with proven discipline in CRM management, pipeline forecasting, and reporting.

Tech-savvy, with experience using modern sales tools (e.g., Zoho CRM being an advantage).
