Role Overview
Indra is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to spearhead the market development of IndraMind across the UK and Ireland, based in its London office. As part of the IndraMind Europe Business Development team, this role focuses on:
- Establishing IndraMind as a trusted AI and data platform for mission-critical operational environments
- Developing new business opportunities in early pipeline stages
- Building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across Defence, Security, Government, Resilience, and Critical Infrastructure
- Aligning with customers who demand resilience, security, interoperability, and confidence in data-driven decision support

- Operate with high autonomy in complex, high-trust environments

This is a proactive market development role, focusing on origination, qualification, and advancement of new opportunities—not Key Account Management.
Key Responsibilities

Opportunity Identification & Pipeline Development
- Identify, prioritize, and develop new business opportunities across Defence, Security, Resilience, Public Sector, and Critical Infrastructure in the UK and Ireland
- Create a qualified pipeline aligned with IndraMind’s positioning, target use cases, and commercial priorities

Stakeholder & Relationship Management
- Build and manage relationships with senior stakeholders in government, defence organizations, security agencies, critical infrastructure operators, and industry partners
- Map stakeholders, define use cases, and align with decision-making processes and procurement routes

Opportunity Qualification & Execution
- Structure and rigorously qualify opportunities, including budget analysis, procurement routes, stakeholder mapping, and delivery feasibility
- Lead opportunities from engagement to proposal development, internal coordination, and closure or handover

RFI/RFP & Tender Support
- Contribute to RFI, RFP, and tender processes, collaborating with bid, technical, product, and commercial teams

- Translate IndraMind capabilities into clear, operational value for customers, focusing on:

- Develop partnerships and alliances with primes, SMEs, technology partners, and institutional stakeholders

- Support the UK and Ireland go-to-market approach, including sector prioritization, stakeholder targeting, and opportunity identification
Required Experience & Skills
Essential Qualified Experience
✔ Senior-level business development in complex environments with a track record of originating and progressing new opportunities ✔ Experience selling in Defence, Security, Government, Resilience, or Critical Infrastructure sectors, with credibility at operational and institutional levels ✔ Proven ability to engage multi-stakeholder organizations, including public sector entities and defence agencies ✔ Structured business development cycles, including RFI, RFP, tender processes ✔ Positioning or selling complex technology-led solutions, such as AI/data platforms, data integration systems, decision support systems, or digital transformation programmes ✔ Strong technical awareness with ability to discuss AI, operational intelligence, data integration, systems integration, and situational awareness ✔ Willingness to travel within UK, Ireland and Europe for client engagements, partner meetings, and internal coordination

Experience & Skills (Desirable)
❑ Mastery of proven prior experience within the UK Defence, National Security, or Resilience ecosystem ❑ Established network across UK public sector, defence, security, and critical infrastructure stakeholders ❑ Familiarity with AI, situational awareness platforms, or decision support tools ❑ Experience working in multi-agency or mission-critical operational environments ❑ Exposure to Euopean programmes, NATO-related environments, or cross-border collaborations ❑ Capacity to obtain or maintain UK security clearance
