The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced, commercially sharp Senior Business Development Manager to drive the next phase of our growth. This role is ideal for a proven deal-maker who thrives on:

  • Building executive-level relationships
  • Winning high-value enterprise partnerships
  • Shaping commercial engagement
  • Expanding into high-growth industries

This is a high-impact role, equally challenging in ** closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals** as it is in crafting long-term, strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise-level sales cycles: Own the full process from prospecting to close, with a focus on high-value partnerships.
  • Engage senior stakeholders: Build trusted relationships with C-suite and senior leaders in HR, L&D, CSR, and Tech functions.
  • Craft tailored solutions: Diagnose client challenges and position Future Skills & digital learning solutions to deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market (GTM) strategies, aligning with UpSkill’s growth priorities across target industries and regions.
  • Negotiate and close complex deals, ensuring mutual value and long-term growth.
  • Represent UpSkill Universe at global conferences, roundtables, and industry events, positioning our expertise in Tech skills development, SME enablement, and Social Value.
  • ** Collaborate with Delivery and Product teams** to ensure seamless client handoff and exceptional client experiences.
  • Aggregate market intelligence to inform commercial strategy and influence our product roadmap & market positioning.
  • Mentor sales colleagues, share best practices, and foster a high-performance culture.

Essential Requirements

Experience & Proven Success

  • 7+ years in B2B sales, with a strong track record of closing six- or seven-figure enterprise deals.
  • Experience selling into C-suite and senior decision-makers in HR, L&D, CSR, or Digital/Transformation leadership.
  • Consultative and value-based selling skills to uncover complex client needs and align solutions.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute business development strategies driving revenue growth and expansion.
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, and presentation skills, with expertise in handling objections and managing long sales cycles.
  • Familiarity with digital tools (e.g., CRM – HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, G-Suite, Slack) and data-driven sales.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: proactive, resilient, and adaptable in a fast-paced, global growth environment.
