Business Development Manager – Managed IT & Technology Solutions

A leading technology solutions provider is seeking an ambitious and commercially focused Business Development Manager to join its growing sales team. This is a strategic new business role focused on winning and developing opportunities across a comprehensive portfolio of managed IT services, cloud solutions, connectivity, cyber security, communications, and digital transformation services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging senior decision-makers, identifying business challenges, and delivering consultative technology solutions that create long-term value for customers.

The Opportunity

This role is ideal for a proven new business sales professional who enjoys building relationships, developing opportunities from scratch, and managing complex sales cycles. Working closely with technical, pre-sales, and delivery teams, you will take ownership of the entire sales process, from prospect identification through to proposal, negotiation, and contract award.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities across managed services and technology solutions.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of qualified opportunities.
  • Engage with business owners, C-suite executives, IT leaders, and senior stakeholders.
  • Understand customer challenges and deliver solution-led sales strategies.
  • Lead commercial proposals, presentations, and customer negotiations.
  • Achieve and exceed revenue, gross profit, and recurring revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with internal technical and operational teams to ensure successful customer onboarding.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasting, and sales reporting.
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies.

Experience Required

  • Proven success in new business sales within managed services, IT, telecommunications, cloud, connectivity, cyber security, or related technology sectors.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify customer value drivers.
  • Experience engaging and influencing senior business stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
  • Experience managing complex sales opportunities through a structured sales process.
  • Highly motivated, resilient, and target-driven.
