The Opportunity
Docker is now looking for a results-oriented Sr Business Development Representative to be a self-starter with a track record of qualifying leads for commercial and enterprise-level accounts.
Responsibilities
- Utilise prospecting strategies to engage with existing Docker users who exhibit a propensity for commercial licenses
- Identify and analyse customer needs and challenges to understand how Docker solutions can add value
- Assess prospect interest in Docker products
- Arrange discovery meetings between sales representatives and qualified prospects
- Consistently qualify prospects while meeting targets for new opportunities and body of deal
- Handle and qualify incoming inquiries for interest in Docker products
- Leave a memorable first impression by adding clear value at every stage of engagement
- Work closely with internal teams to share feedback and insights on customer needs
- Take part in team mentoring and development initiatives
Qualifications
A results-driven professional with the following experience and traits:
- At least 1+ year in a sales role (ideally as an SDR, BDR, or account executive)
- A proven track record of hitting targets and driving success
- Self-motivated and proactive individual, able to take ownership of tasks
- Strong skills in writing, speaking, and listening—with a special knack for communication
- Quick to understand core industry dynamics, use cases, and the value proposition of our products
- Demonstrates high integrity and cultivates a team-first mentality
- Detail-oriented and hardworking, a relentless focus on continuous improvement

- Four-year college degree or equivalent industry experience
Expectations During Your Journey at Docker
First 30 Days
You’ll kick off your role with Docker’s esteemed onboarding—custom swag, a remote setup, and a collaborative training program.
- Familiarise yourself with award-winning sales tools: Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Common Room, Outreach, Sales Navigator, and Docker-specific systems.
- Begin executing core SDR functions, including:
- Prospecting
- Lead qualification
- Appointment setting
- Warm handoffs
- Salesforce hygiene and pipeline management
- Shadow colleagues and work alongside your Account Executive to develop bespoke prospecting approaches tailored to your territory.
- By the end of the month, you’ll be proficient in tools, strategies, and best practices vital to your role.
First 60 Days
In your second month, you’ll focus on deep company and account research to refine your prospecting strategies. You’ll:
- Define target accounts and identify key decision-makers within them.
- Reach out through multiple channels: cold calls, emails, chat, and social media.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of Docker’s product suite to deliver compelling pitches.
- Meet company KPI metrics and adhere to prospecting standards.
- Have an advanced grasp of tools, best practices, and processes—positioning yourself for operational success in your BDR role.

First 90 Days
By your third month, your confidence and familiarity in the role should be strong and solid. You’ll now:
- Operate at full capacity, refining messaging, processes, and daily activities.
- Become an accredited lead-qualifier and an expert in tools and processes.
- Take ownership of your workflow with minimal oversight.
Docker does not provide visa sponsorship for this role.
