About Capacitas
Capacitas is a hyperscale cloud consultancy with over 20 years of experience helping high-profile, complex organisations achieve cloud confidence — optimising cost, performance, and scalability simultaneously. Headquartered in London and backed by private equity, Capacitas works with blue-chip enterprises, PE-backed portfolio companies, and critical national infrastructure providers to turn cloud and AI investment into measurable impact. As the business enters its next phase of growth, we're building out a high-performing demand generation engine to match the calibre of our consulting work.
The Role
We're looking for a Senior BDR with a minimum of 6 years' experience in business development in the tech space to take ownership of new business at the top of our funnel. This is not an entry-level prospecting role: Capacitas sells into enterprise on complex, high-value engagements, and our buyers are senior — CTOs, VPs of Engineering, Heads of Cloud, CFOs, and Operating Partners. You'll need the credibility, judgement, and consultative approach to open conversations at that level and turn them into qualified opportunities and pipeline.
You'll work closely with the Head of Marketing, the Sales and New Business leadership team, and our Solution Consulting team in opening large target accounts, developing and qualifying leads to uncover net-new business opportunities in a market where trust and technical credibility matter more than outreach volume.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, research, and prioritise large target accounts across B2B SaaS, B2C Technology, Private Equity, Financial Services, e-commerce, Healthcare, and other large targets across multiple verticals — building account and buyer intelligence to inform a focused, “account-based” approach.
- Open conversations with senior decision-makers (C-suite, VPs, Heads of Engineering/Cloud, Operating Partners) through multi-channel outbound: email, LinkedIn, phone, and relevant industry events.
- Multi-thread within target accounts to engage multiple stakeholders and build consensus ahead of handover to the sales team.
- Own and manage a structured outbound pipeline using CRM and prospecting tools (e.g. Hubspot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, intent/ABM platforms), maintaining data hygiene and pipeline visibility.
- Partner closely with marketing on campaigns, messaging, and target account selection, providing frontline market feedback that shapes positioning and outreach strategy.
- Represent Capacitas credibly in conversations with senior technical and financial stakeholders, acting as a trusted first point of contact rather than a transactional prospector.
- Consistently deliver against pipeline and qualified meeting targets, balancing volume with the quality expected in a long-cycle, relationship-led sales environment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
