Job Purpose & Overview

As a Senior Business and Requirements Analyst, you will lead the identification, analysis, and prioritisation of complex business problems across NAT. You will deliver high-quality requirements and actionable insights to support projects, programmes, and wider business change, collaborating closely with stakeholders and project teams.

Duties Include:

  • Requirement Elicitation & Documentation: Elicit, refine, and document detailed requirements, business models, and organisation designs using structured workshops, interviews, modelling techniques, and analytical methods, ensuring unwavering alignment with business strategy and objectives.

  • Problem-Solving & Investigations: Lead investigations into complex business or requirements challenges, applying analytical rigor, stakeholder management, and clear communication to define root causes, evaluate solutions, and provide actionable recommendations—including contributions to business cases.

  • Project & Portfolio Support: Support programmes and project managers by clarifying scope, demonstrating alignment with NAT Strategy, and ensuring smoother, more effective delivery of outcomes and deliverables.

  • Team Supervision: Task- and day-to-day manage a small team of analysts, providing mentorship, guidance, and direction to drive deliverables up to standard while fostering professional growth.

This role demands high operational independence, including:

  • Organising and managing assigned work independently.
  • Prioritising and resolving moderately complex issues before escalating to senior stakeholders or line managers.
  • Ensuring deliverables meet the highest standards of quality.
  • Escalation only required for significant obstacles beyond designated authority scope—collaborate with leadership for direction and visibility.

Job Scope

Key responsibilities include effectively interpreting, focusing on prioritisation, and disseminating insights across:

Your work must align with stakeholder needs whilst maintaining focus on clarity, quality, and strategic impact.


Essential Skills & Experience

  • Education & Technical Foundations: A numerate background, evidenced by a qualification at RQF Level 4 (or equivalent) in:

    • A Science (S)
    • A Technol< meant engineering\ mathematically (STEM) subject. (Equivalency grants may be considered for those with (\pm)oftot88$#x rewardedàt°d/customers; -at-BSCInternational Diploma or -affing-susified -BC5/chomotive-transform)*
  • Business & Requirements Analysis: Demonstrated experience in:

    • Deep-dive investigations of business problems, analysing data to drive actionable recommendations, ensuring delivery meets project and programme objectives.
    • Elicitation, specification, judiciousisation of needs through entire project lifecycles, with adaptable expertise in Agile • and Waterfall methodologies.
    • Exceptional track record **develop ] of documentation: business models, organisation designs and feasibility assessments that inform critical decision-making.
