Risk at Revolut operates across all functions, products, and regions to monitor front-line performance and ensure the business operates safely. They’re among the first to be involved in new initiatives, from tech to customer support.

We’re looking for a Business Risk Manager to manage the risk and control environment for our Core Payments team. You’ll partner with Operations, Product, Engineering, and Risk teams to proactively identify and mitigate business risks while strengthening controls.

What you'll be doing

  • Partnering with Core Payments leadership to identify, assess, and proactively manage business and operational risks
  • Promoting a proactive risk culture by embedding risk awareness into day-to-day decision-making and operations
  • Performing risk assessments for new products, payment flows, operational processes, and strategic initiatives
  • Designing, implementing, and continuously improving risk controls, governance frameworks, and monitoring processes
  • Investigating incidents, identifying root causes, and working cross-functionally to implement sustainable solutions that prevent recurrence
  • Challenging existing processes, identifying control gaps, and recommending practical improvements that balance customer experience, operational efficiency, and risk
  • Collaborating closely with Operations, Product, Engineering, and Compliance teams to ensure risks are understood and effectively managed
  • Developing meaningful risk metrics and dashboards to provide leadership with clear visibility into key risk areas and emerging trends
  • Supporting strategic projects involving payment schemes, banking partners, central banks, and clearing systems

What you'll need

  • 7+ years of experience in business risk management, operational risk, enterprise risk, or a similar risk-focused role within financial services, fintech, or banking
  • Solid problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and develop practical, risk-based solutions
  • A proactive mindset with a track record of identifying risks early and implementing preventative controls
  • Demonstrated ownership and the ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced, global environment
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience influencing cross-functional teams and senior leaders
  • Expertise in designing, implementing, or improving risk frameworks, controls, and governance processes

Nice to have

  • Experience within payments, banking operations, or financial infrastructure
  • Knowledge of payment schemes, such as SEPA, SWIFT, Faster Payments, ACH, or other domestic/international payment rails
  • Experience working in a high-growth fintech or technology-driven environment
  • Familiarity with payment processing, clearing, or settlement operations
