We’re excited to be recruiting to a Senior Business Support Officer (Generalist) role within our newly established Business Support Hub.

This is a great opportunity to play a key role in shaping how we deliver high-quality, consistent and modern business support across Dorset Council. You’ll be part of a forward-thinking service designed to provide a more streamlined, collaborative and digitally enabled offer to our front-line teams.

About The Role

As a Senior Business Support Officer, you will:

  • Lead and support a team of Business Support Officers
  • Oversee the delivery of high-quality administrative and operational support
  • Help drive continuous improvement and innovation within the new Hub
  • Work closely with colleagues and stakeholders across services

This role sits within the Localities, supporting both Children’s and Adults services, giving you the chance to work across a diverse and meaningful area that directly impacts our residents.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring support is efficient, consistent and customer-focused, while contributing to the ongoing transformation of business support services.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated individual who:

  • Has a strong background in business support or administration
  • Is confident leading and developing others
  • Can manage competing priorities and work proactively
  • Is passionate about improving services and ways of working
