Senior Buyer - Dudley - c£40,000
Elevation Recruitment Group is proud to be supporting a growing manufacturing business in Dudley that is looking to recruit a Senior Buyer to join their team.
Working Hours / Benefits:
- Full-time, Monday to Friday (Flexi time)
- 25 days annual leave plus stats
- Pension scheme
- On-site parking
Senior Buyer duties:
- Assessing current procurement and planning practices, identifying gaps against best practice, and designing the processes, controls, and documentation the division needs
- Leading the shift from manual, informal ways of working to structured, repeatable processes
- Developing and managing strategic supplier partnerships and leading category negotiations
- Taking hands-on ownership of procurement and inventory management, working closely with operations
- Owning supply and demand planning, building and maintaining manual planning tools such as reorder points, Kanban, and spreadsheet-based plans
- Managing supplier performance through regular reviews, challenging on delivery, quality, and execution
- Identifying cost savings and formulating annual plans for designated spend categories

The Person
- Significant experience across purchasing and supply chain within a manufacturing environment
- Strong working knowledge of ERP or MRP systems, with substantial hands-on experience in manual supply and demand planning
- Advanced Excel skills
