Senior Buyer - Contract (outside I35)

£ Rate DOE Coventry

The DRVN Automotive group is recruiting for a Senior Buyer with a deep understanding of the industry to support the procurement team. The role will be based on-site in Coventry.

The core deliverables of the role include:

  • Manage competitive sourcing across multiple commodities for two parallel vehicle launch programmes
  • Support the shift from tactical prototype sourcing to strategic production partnerships
  • Lead supplier negotiations to maximise value and build strong, collaborative relationships
  • Contribute to wider business transformation, providing insight to improve processes and efficiency

The Specialist will collaborate with internal departments to meet organisational procurement needs and technical specifications.

The core capabilities required are:

  • Background in Automotive and/or Motorsport (highly beneficial)
  • Experience within start-up or scale-up organisations
  • Experience in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, and Vendor Negotiation
  • Deep understanding of Procurement tools, techniques & best practices with the ability to apply by default outside of structured framework environments
  • Full end-to-end Source-to-Contract capability
  • Lateral thinker with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong negotiator, communicator, and team player
  • Proactive, collaborative self-starter with a hands-on approach
  • Calm, composed, and effective under pressure
  • Proficiency in relevant procurement and ERP systems
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site environment in Coventry
  • Must have rights to work in UK.
