Senior Buyer - Childrenswear
Kent / Sussex | Hybrid (3 days in the office) | Competitive Salary

We're looking for a talented Senior Own Brand Childrenswear Buyer to join a thriving international retail business and help shape exciting collections that customers around the world will love.
This is an exciting opportunity to own the buying process from concept through to launch, working closely with Design, Technical, Merchandising and trusted supplier partners to create commercially successful ranges that combine quality, style and value.

What you'll be doing
- Developing commercially successful own-brand childrenswear collections from concept through to launch.
- Working closely with Design to turn creative ideas into commercially viable products that customers will love.
- Managing supplier relationships, sourcing new opportunities and negotiating the best cost, quality and delivery.
- Building balanced ranges that achieve target margins while meeting the needs of a global customer base.
- Partnering with Merchandising to ensure the right products are available at the right time and in the right quantities.
- Managing the critical path to ensure products are delivered on time and ready for successful seasonal launches.
- Collaborating with Ecommerce and Marketing to maximise product performance through engaging launches and campaigns.
- Supporting supplier onboarding, compliance and continuous improvement across the supply base.

What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a Buyer or Senior Buyer with responsibility for own-brand childrenswear or fashion product development.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance creativity and profitability.
- Experience sourcing products and managing supplier relationships across international supply bases.
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
- Strong understanding of costing, margins and product development.
- Experience managing the critical path and delivering products on time.
- Highly organised with excellent planning and communication skills.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to build strong relationships across Design, Merchandising, Technical and wider business teams.
- A genuine passion for childrenswear, trends and creating outstanding products.
