Senior Buyer / Procurement Professional
Location: Rochester, Kent Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
We’re supporting the growth of a leading engineering & manufacturing site in Rochester, who are looking to expand their procurement function with multiple Senior Buyer / Procurement hires.
This is a great opportunity for someone experienced in supplier negotiation and relationship management, who wants to contribute to strategic procurement activities, as well as day-to-day purchasing.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading negotiations on contracts, pricing, and commercial terms
- Acting as the key link between the business and supplier teams
- Managing purchase order budgets and driving cost savings
- Monitoring supplier performance and resolving issues
- Maintaining accurate supplier data within the ERP system
- Supporting wider procurement strategy and process improvements
- Coaching and supporting junior procurement colleagues

What we’re looking for
Essential: ✔ Proven experience in procurement, buying, or purchasing ✔ Strong commercial negotiation skills ✔ Confidence in managing supplier relationships at multiple levels
