Are you an experienced Buyer, Procurement or Commercial professional looking to play a key role in delivering nationally significant infrastructure, highways and utilities projects while accelerating your procurement career?
I'm currently partnering with a highly respected infrastructure contractor to recruit a Senior Buyer into their Regional Commercial & Procurement team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an established business with a strong pipeline of nationally significant infrastructure, highways and utilities projects. Working within a highly regarded Commercial & Procurement function, you'll lead subcontract procurement across the full project lifecycle, influencing supplier selection, commercial strategy and project delivery across major framework agreements.
The business combines the scale and stability of a leading contractor with the culture of a family-run organisation, offering a collaborative environment where hardworking, commercially minded people are trusted with responsibility and supported to build long-term careers.
Whether you're already an experienced Buyer or a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor or Commercial professional with strong subcontract procurement experience looking to move into procurement, this role offers genuine responsibility, leadership opportunities and a clear pathway towards Procurement Manager.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
