Your new company
A growing international business in the search for a Senior Buyer to join their Procurement team. This is an excellent job for a commercially minded procurement professional to play a key role in sourcing products globally, developing supplier partnerships, and supporting a fast-paced supply chain operation. This role would suit an ambitious Buyer or Senior Buyer looking to broaden their procurement expertise within a dynamic and collaborative environment, where they can directly influence supplier performance, cost optimisation, and customer satisfaction.
Your new role
- Sourcing and evaluating products from global suppliers to meet customer requirements, ensuring optimum cost, quality, and lead times.
- Negotiating commercial agreements, pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Ensuring compliance with ethical sourcing and sustainability standards across the supply base.
- Working closely with logistics and operations teams to support import activities, customs processes, and on-time delivery performance.
- Supporting customer tenders by providing pricing analysis, market insights, and procurement data.
- Managing purchase orders and procurement administration, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Collaborating with demand planning and operational teams to ensure stock availability and supply continuity.
- Identifying and onboarding new suppliers to drive value, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Building strong supplier relationships and monitoring supplier performance.
- Developing a strong understanding of customer requirements and market trends.

What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience within FMCG, food, manufacturing, retail, or a related product-based environment.
- Strong supplier negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Commercially astute with a proactive and solution-focused approach.
- Excellent organisational, planning, and time management capabilities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience of international sourcing, imports, and shipping processes would be advantageous.
