Senior Buyer – IT
We are looking for a Senior Buyer – IT to join our Procurement team and play a key role in delivering value. This is a fast-paced, high-impact role where you will work closely with senior IT stakeholders, lead sourcing initiatives, and drive cost efficiencies while supporting innovation across areas like AI, automation and digital transformation.
What You will Do
- Lead sourcing and procurement activity across key IT categories (e.g. software, cloud, infrastructure, workplace tech)
- Deliver cost savings, cash flow improvements and value through strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations
- Build and run RFP processes, including advanced commercial and financial analysis
- Develop category knowledge and contribute to sourcing strategies that improve total cost of ownership
- Manage supplier relationships and performance, acting as a key escalation point for the business
- Negotiate contracts and commercial terms with suppliers, supported by procurement leadership where needed
- Partner with senior IT stakeholders, including Head of and C-suite level, to influence decision making
- Manage end-to-end procurement projects, ensuring delivery against timelines and objectives
- Support continuous improvement across procurement processes and ways of working

What We are Looking For
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in procurement, buying or a commercial role
- Exposure to IT procurement or strong interest in developing in this space (cloud, software, infrastructure etc.) is desirable
- Strong commercial and financial awareness (including OPEX vs CAPEX understanding)
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g. pivots, modelling, “what if” analysis)
- Experience running or supporting RFP processes and bid analysis
- Confident negotiator with strong contract awareness
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at senior levels
- Self-starter who can manage their own workload in a fast-changing environment
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel when required
